The blade of this Santoku is made of stonewashed 14C28N stainless steel. The tall blade is flatter towards the heel, with a gentle curve leading up to a fine tip for delicate work, making this knife particularly ideal for rocking cuts. Both the spine and the choil are rounded for comfort in use.

The handle is made of dyed Chestnut burl, American Walnut, red Ocean plastic from Farrihy Bay in Co. Clare, sterling silver, and brass. It is an octagonal design, tapering outwards towards the butt for balance.
