Stainless stone washed Chef with Burgundy & Oak handle.

€410.00

This Chef’s knife has a blade of 440C stainless steel. It is ground all the way from edge to spine and has been etched dark, with a stone washed finish. The cutting edge is flatter towards the heel, with a generous curve up to a fine tip, making this knife particularly ideal for rocking cuts.

This knife is of a “full tang” design, meaning that the steel of the blade runs all the way down the centre of the handle. Typical of western style kitchen knives, this type of design gives a bit more weight and heft to the knife overall, which some people prefer.

The handle scales, made of burgundy fibre and salvaged Irish Oak from Co. Carlow, are affixed with brass corby bolts, and feature a micro chamfer along the transition.

This knife is a kitchen all rounder.

Blade length: 195mm

Overall length: 320mm

Weight: 186

Balance point: Right where the handle meets the blade.

It is important to mention that handmade knives require a little more care and maintenance than off the shelf knives, but you will be rewarded with a rich relationship with your knife over a lifetime of use. Each knife comes with instructions on how to look after it.
