The blade of this Gyuto is forged in 52100 high carbon steel. The tall blade is flatter towards the heel, with a gentle curve leading up to a fine tip for delicate work, making this knife particularly ideal for rocking cuts. Both the spine and the choil are rounded for comfort in use, and the blade has been blacked out.

The handle is made of wind felled Ash from Co. Carlow, Irish Oak, blue Ocean plastic from Farrihy Bay in Co. Clare, sterling silver, and brass. It is an octagonal design, tapering outwards towards the butt for balance.
